The Unyielding Search for the Original Declaration of Sentiments

The New York Times on February 8, 2019 reviewed the search started during the Obama administration to find the original Declaration of Sentiments from the 1848 Seneca Falls Convention, which to dateĀ  has come up dry. One theory is that there never was an acutal document, but that the sentiments were gathered in notes sent to Frederick Douglass’s newspaper, the North Star, for compilation and printing.
